The Sonoma County Human Services Department (HSD) is seeking an experienced professional who possesses strong leadership, criminal justice, and investigative skills to join the Special Investigations Unit as their next Chief Welfare Fraud Investigator!
Starting salary up to $60.05/Hr. ($125,331.56/Yr.) Plus, a cash allowance of approximately $600/Mo.*
The Chief Welfare Fraud Investigator reports to the Director of Human Services and is responsible for the management and oversight of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) within HSD. Responsibilities of the position include direct supervision of welfare fraud investigators and fraud technicians, oversight of fraud investigations within HSD, data collecting and reporting, and interaction and communication with the California Department of Social Services and the public, including HSD clients and law enforcement officials. This position is authorized to carry a firearm per California Penal Code Section 830.35.
