At minimum, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Police Science, or a closely related field, and have six (6) years of progressively responsible administrative and supervisory experience in municipal law enforcement. Completion of P.O.S.T. Command College or FBI National Academy, and a Master’s degree in Public or Business Administration are highly desirable. Candidates must possess a valid California Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
